SW 435 – FD 4
  • High yielding, high quality, mulitleaf variety with excellent winter hardiness
  • Adapted to the winter hardy & irrigated areas where very high quality hay is desired
  • In 5 forage yield trials in Idaho & WA, it produced of 5% more than average variety
  • Has high multileaf expression (78%); high quality forage producer with multipest resistance
  • Performs well over a wide range of environments

SW 7410 – FD 7

  • Very high yielding, persistent variety; highest average yielding in Univ. of California Forage Trials of 32 varieties
  • Has hay quality of FD 7 and yield of FD 9 varieties
  • Versatile for hay producers and dairymen
  • In 6 test years, out produced CUF 101 by 12%
  • Large leaves & short internodes characterize this variety, an excellent dairy hay.

SW 8210 – FD 8

  • High yielding, high quality hay; it’s a favorite of dairymen and hay producers.
  • Fine-stemmed hay with a high leaf-to-stem weight ratio.
  • Yielded 2nd Highest of 48 varieties in the ’95 forage trial.
  • Does very well on clay soils & sandy loams
